Team Camp part 2

This is just a quick summary of the last few days of camp. We did a few more big ol’ rides around wine country. Sean and I had some battles up the tougher climbs that were a lot of fun and great training. For the last night of camp, we went out to Indian food for dinner. After dinner, the desired frozen yogurt shop was closed, so we made a detour to a Magic and Ice Cream shop. The place had a very weird vibe but this paid off when an employee informed me, “It’s this kid’s birthday and our magicians aren’t here. Your teammates said you tell good jokes?” I jumped at this opportunity and had my first comedy show. The birthday party had a few laughs so I called it a success.

Our last morning at camp, we all put in $5 for a bet on the Milan-San Remo race and posted up around my laptop while we ate breakfast. My pick was Cancellara but he never really factored, while Luke took home the big money with Degenkolb. After this we did a quick ride then everyone headed out. Overall it was a great week at team camp and good preparation for the season ahead.

Now I am enjoying some training at home and trying to use my intervals to snag Strava KoMs.

Thanks for reading and I will check in again soon!

Starting price was $12, but we bargained this pair of original clear plastic Air Force Ones down to $10

The comedy routine. I didn’t have a microphone so I had to improvise with my ice cream.

David Lombardo bears a striking resemblance to comedian Nathan Fielder

I look a little devious here. Probably planning a devastating pun
